    Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur (MNLU, Nagpur) was established by the Government of Maharashtra by

    way of enactment known as the Maharashtra National Law University Act (Maharashtra Act No. VI of 2014). It is a
    residential University engaged in teaching and promoting research in law and allied disciplines. The objectives of the
    University are manifold which include serving society in the field of law by developing skills in regard to advocacy, legal
    services, legislation, law reforms and the likes.
    To promote these objectives of the University and to support the Research
    Scholars pursuing Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) Degree in other public Universities / Research Institutions, the University
    proposed to invite applications from them as an External Research Scholars to attend the Ph.D. course work of Maharashtra
    National Law University, Nagpur under University Social Responsibility (USR) programme and get benefit out of it.
    Eligibility
    The Ph.D. Research Scholars registered for Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) Degree in Universities / Institutions are
    eligible to attend the Ph.D. course work of Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur.
    Last Date of Submission of Application along with Expression of Interest: March 24, 2022 by 5.00 p.m.

    Instructions on Ph.D. Course Work (2021)
    1. As per the Regulation 10 (i) of the Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy)
    Regulations 2017 the Ph.D. course work shall be of 22 credits in total divided in Seven (07) Courses including the
    course titled "Research and Publication Ethics (RPE)" as per the University Grants Commission 543rd Meeting
    Resolution held on August 9th, 2019 (Vide Letter No. F. I.-l/2018 (Journal CARE) dated December, 2019).
    2. The title of the courses, course credit, and maximum marks are given in the table below:

    3. No Registration fee for attending the Ph.D. course work;
    4. The classes will be conducted online using Cisco WebEx Portal;
    5. The total duration of the course work shall be split into three clusters, spread over the entire Semester period;
    6. Convenor, Doctoral Council shall coordinate the Ph.D. course work including class schedule and liasoning with
    subject experts;
    7. The candidates who are regular in attendance and does not take part in course work Examination will get the
    Participation Certificate from the University;
    8. The candidates who are regular in attendance, appeared and passed the course work Examination will get the Course
    Work Completion Certificate from the University;
    9. The University reserves the right to expel any candidate at any point of time during the period of course work, if
    the candidate's involvement is not satisfactory.
