Call For Papers: NUSRL Ranchi Invites Abstracts For National Symposium On Convergence Of Law & Economics 2.0

The Centre for Business Laws at the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, has announced the Paper Presentation segment of its flagship academic event the National Symposium on Convergence of Law & Economics 2.0: Bankruptcy, Startups & Beyond.
Participants are invited to submit abstracts on the overarching theme “Convergence of Law and Economics: Bankruptcy, Startups & Beyond.” The sub-themes include, but are not limited to, evolving insolvency mechanisms, creditor-debtor dynamics, cross-border insolvency, startup regulation, venture capital frameworks, and restructuring regimes. Authors are encouraged to explore innovative and interdisciplinary perspectives within this broad thematic ambit.
Timeline
The submission process is divided into multiple stages.
The last date for registration is 1 May 2026, followed by the abstract submission deadline on 3 May 2026. Selected abstracts will be notified by 6 May 2026, after which shortlisted participants must submit their presentation by 15 May 2026. The final paper presentations will be conducted online on 23 May 2026, and full papers are to be submitted by 30 June 2026.
Submission Process
The competition follows a two-stage submission format. Authors are first required to submit an abstract, which undergoes a peer-review process based on relevance, originality, and quality. Only shortlisted participants will be invited to submit full papers and present their work at the symposium.
Eligibility
The paper presentation is open to students, research scholars, academicians, lawyers, and other professionals. Co-authorship is permitted for up to two authors; however, multiple entries by the same author(s) are not allowed.
Abstract Guidelines
Abstracts must be written in English and should not exceed 450–500 words, accompanied by at least five keywords. Submissions must clearly outline the research question, methodology, key findings (if available), and relevance to the symposium theme. Formatting requirements include Garamond font, 12-point size, 1.5 line spacing, and 1-inch margins.
Full Paper Guidelines
The final paper should range between 5,000 to 7,000 words, excluding abstract and references. Submissions must adhere to the OSCOLA (4th Edition) citation style and be formatted in Garamond, 12-point font with 1.5 line spacing. Papers must be original, unpublished, and maintain a similarity index below 15%.
Presentation Guidelines
Presentations must be submitted in PDF or PPT format and should be concise and structured, covering introduction, research objectives, methodology (if applicable), key arguments, and conclusions. Each participant will be allotted 6–8 minutes to present, followed by interaction with the panel. Presentations will be conducted in online mode, and participants must ensure technical readiness.
