Marathwada Mitra Mandal's Shankarrao Chavan Law College, Pune, is set to organise the 12th edition of the Late Justice P. B. Sawant National Moot Court Competition on 24th and 25th January, 2026, in offline mode at its Deccan Gymkhana campus, Pune. The competition continues its legacy of providing a rigorous and enriching advocacy platform for undergraduate law students across the country.

A Moot Competition Rooted in Constitutional Values

Instituted in the academic year 2013–14, the National Moot Court Competition is named in honour of Late Hon'ble Justice P. B. Sawant, former Judge of the Supreme Court of India, whose jurisprudence significantly shaped constitutional law, human rights, and social justice in India. His landmark contributions in cases such as Indra Sawhney v. Union of India and S.R. Bommai v. Union of India continue to guide constitutional interpretation and democratic governance.

The association of Hon'ble Justice P. B. Sawant lends a constitutional ethos that encourages participants to engage with law as a tool for accountability, transparency, and social transformation.
