    The Faculty of Law, University of Delhi has officially opened applications for Project Saksham 4.O – a flagship nationwide legal literacy and legal aid initiative led by the alumni of the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, under the aegis of the Nek Mission Foundation.

    Building on the massive success of Saksham 1.O, 2.O, and 3.O (which together impacted over 3 lakh people, resolved 2,500+ legal cases, and conducted 48 mega legal aid camps across multiple states), Project Saksham 4.O aims to further strengthen grassroots access to justice through structured legal awareness drives, socio-legal surveys, free legal aid camps, academic programmes, and community outreach.

    Who is a Justice Mitra?

    Selected volunteers (designated as Justice Mitras) will work as:

    ● Legal Literacy Ambassadors

    ● Community Justice Facilitators

    ● Trained Socio-Legal Surveyors

    ● First-Level Legal Aid Supporters

    They will conduct door-to-door awareness campaigns, identify legal and documentation issues (Aadhaar, E-Shram, pensions, etc.), assist in mega legal aid camps, participate in national seminars/webinars/moot courts, and contribute to policy-oriented socio-legal research.

    Target Beneficiaries

    Women, children, SC/ST communities, persons with disabilities, industrial workers, senior citizens, persons in custody, victims of trafficking, and economically weaker sections (annual income below ₹3 lakhs).

    Eligibility

    - Law students (LLB / BA LLB / BBA LLB / LLM) from any Delhi institution

    - Students with genuine interest in social justice and community service

    - NSS/NCC members are encouraged to apply

    - Orientation & Training: 4–5 April 2026

    - Field Activities Commence: 6 April 2026 onwards
