Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur, will host a two-day International Conference on “From Regulations to Revenue: India's Green Economy & Trade Policy” on 18th and 19th April 2026 in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The conference is being organised jointly by the Centre for Law & Economics (CLE) and the Centre for Research in Environmental Law (CREL) at the University.

The conference aims to examine India's transition from regulation-driven environmental policies towards a revenue-oriented green economy framework. It will bring together policymakers, scholars, advocates, academicians, industry representatives and students for paper presentations and discussions on emerging developments in the sector.

The thematic scope of the conference includes renewable energy, carbon markets, circular economy, green finance and global trade diplomacy. Discussions are expected to explore regulatory developments, economic implications and policy responses relating to India's green transition.

The organisers state that the conference seeks to contribute to more informed policymaking while addressing issues relating to market access and global value chains. It also aims to encourage research collaborations that integrate economic analysis into environmental and trade law frameworks.

By engaging the disciplines of law and economics, the conference intends to examine the legal and market implications of India's green trade policies, including regulatory certainty, enforcement mechanisms and alignment with global sustainability standards.
