  • DSNLU Qualifies For The 20th Annual Oxford Intellectual Property Law Moot Competition

DSNLU is a premier law school with state-of-the-art facilities and emphasis on clinical aspects to promote and provide world-class education, training, research consultancy and services. DSNLU strives to motivate and develop quality human resources with ethics by imparting knowledge, skills, and domain expertise in regulatory and legal fields.

The Annual Oxford Intellectual Property Law Moot Court Competition is the most prestigious moot on intellectual property in the world. The competition invites teams from universities around the world to prepare written submissions and present oral arguments on each side of an intellectual property law problem set by experts in the field. Among the hundreds of memorials submitted to resolve the case, the best is chosen so that their authors can orally defend their responses in a simulated court at the Oxford Faculty of Law. Oxford issues invitations to attend the oral rounds to the teams ranked in only the top 24 of all written submissions worldwide.

The team from Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University, Visakhapatnam, (DSNLU) has made it through the written submissions and is amongst the 24 teams invited for the oral rounds to be held at Oxford University from 15-18 March 2023. Team consists of Shloka Dikshit (Fourth year), Saloni Neema (Third year), Minhaj Nazeer (Third-year).

At Oxford, students will compete against teams from around the world, being judged by Judges from the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom and the Court of Appeals. This is a significant achievement for DSNLU as this is the first time that a team from DSNLU has been selected.
