    Mr. Gourab Kumar Agarwal, an alumnus of HNLU brings laurel to his Alma Mater with his selection in the Union Public Service Commission exams of 2021 securing 86th Rank in the All India merit list. He achieved this remarkable success in his second attempt.

    A meritorious student since the day he entered the hallowed portals of HNLU in the Batch of 2015-20, Gourab interned with prominent law firms like P.S Billimoria, Amrita and Debesh Panda, and Khaitan&Co. While at HNLU, Gourab participated enthusiastically in all extracurricular activities. He was known for his clarity in thought during the various Moot Court competitions that he participated in. He was a keen quizzer and won laurels in the many quiz competitions that he took part in. With a keen interest in social work, he was always first to volunteer for Fundraising activities and worked tirelessly in raising funds with the non-profit organisation Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access to Legal Education (IDIA). While at HNLU he also attended the winter school organised by The Network of International Law Students on International Dispute Settlements.

    After his noteworthy achievement, Gourab posted this on the social media "It was a long and tiring journey but fruitful at the end. This would have not been possible without the constant support and guidance from my family, friends and my teachers. I would strive to fulfil, with dignity and integrity, all my responsibilities and duties that would be bestowed upon me during my career and do complete justice to my post as a public servant"

    Commenting on his feat, the Vice Chancellor of HNLU, Prof (Dr.) V C Vivekanandan remarked that "Mr. Gourab Kumar Agarwal joins the illustrious rank of public policy wonks from HNLU and the entire HNLU fraternity wishes him success in his service to the Nation."
