The Academic Committee of Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur successfully organised a guest lecture titled “Anti-Corruption and Anti-Money Laundering Investigations : Legal foundations, Institutional structures and contemporary enforcement challenges” under Vidhisangoshthi on 13th February 2026. The session was delivered by Adv. Priyank Ladoia, Partner at AZB & Partners.

The lecture provided an in-depth understanding of the legal and practical dimensions of corruption and money laundering investigations in India. Adv. He emphasised the significance of due process, evidentiary requirements, and the importance of understanding the interplay between predicate offences and money laundering proceedings. Through real-life illustrations from his professional experience, he explained the challenges involved in defending and advising clients in sensitive investigations, and how strategic legal compliance plays a critical role in corporate governance today.

The session was highly interactive, with students actively engaging with the speaker and seeking clarifications on investigative procedures, the scope of enforcement powers, and recent trends in prosecution under both statutes.
