    The Legal Aid and Social Services Committee (LSSC) at Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), in collaboration with Health Shield HNLU and the Indian Red Cross Society, Raipur, successfully organized the 6th Aanchal Singh Memorial Blood Donation Camp on October 17, 2023. This event underscores HNLU's commitment to the welfare of society and reflects the university's strong determination to contribute to a healthy and peaceful community.

    Dr. Kaumudhi Challa, Convenor of LSSC, emphasized the vital role of LSSC and HNLU Health Shield in raising awareness about blood donation within society. Mr. Sudeep Shrivastava, State Consultant and Founder of the Indian Red Cross Society in Raipur, served as the Resource Person and delivered a presentation on the Significance of Blood Donation. During his presentation, he dispelled common myths surrounding blood donation and encouraged the young students, who are the future of the nation, to step forward and donate blood, an act he described as one of the most sacred contributions that can save lives. Mr. Sudeep Shrivastava also explained the process of blood donation and its crucial role in sustaining and improving lives. Following the presentation, a question and answer session allowed students to seek clarification on the topic.

    Dr. Eritriya Roy, a faculty member of LSSC, delivered a formal vote of thanks on behalf of LSSC, expressing gratitude to Prof. Dr. V.C. Vivekanandan, the Vice Chancellor of HNLU, Dr. Vipin Kumar, the Registrar of HNLU, and Shri Sudeep Shrivastava, the State Consultant of IRCS, Raipur, for their valuable cooperation. The student team from LSSC, led by Ms. Shreya Suresh and Ayush Dewangan, worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the blood donation camp.

    Following the presentation, the Blood Donation Camp took place at the Library Hall, HNLU, and garnered an enthusiastic response from students, with nearly 60 students registering for the event. A total of 52 units of blood were collected. These selfless acts of altruism exemplify the enduring dedication of the HNLU community to support and enhance the well-being of society.
