NALSAR Mediation Tournament 5.0: JGLS & NUJS Students Win Best Negotiating Pair Award

Nittyam Modi of Jindal Global Law School, O.P. Jindal Global University, along with Pratyaksh Jain of the National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata, were awarded the title of “Best Negotiating Pair” and emerged as winners of the Negotiation Segment at the Fox & Mandal – NALSAR Mediation Tournament 5.0, hosted by NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad.
The tournament brought together law students from across the country for engagement with mediation and negotiation, with 133 team registrations and participation from over 400 students.
Following an initial evaluation round, 24 teams advanced to the oral rounds, which comprised three preliminary rounds followed by knockout stages. Participants were assessed on negotiation strategy, problem-solving, and their ability to arrive at balanced and practical outcomes.
The problem for this edition centred around a divorce settlement dispute, requiring participants to demonstrate both legal understanding and interpersonal skills such as communication, empathy, and negotiation.
