NLIU Bhopal Announces 5th Edition Of Techtonic 2026

The Cell for Law and Technology (CLT) at the National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal, has announced the return of its flagship festival, Techtonic 2026. Scheduled for January 16 to 18, 2026, this edition is a convergence of legal minds, creative thinkers, and future policymakers.
This year, Techtonic is supported by Nishith Desai Associates (Knowledge Partner), Niti Bodh, Birbalbot (AI Partner), The Mentorship Project, and Lawctopus.
Spotlight Event: NLIU-CLT-NDA Policy Case Competition Recognized as India's first-of-its-kind policy drafting competition, this flagship event invites the country's sharpest minds to step into the shoes of policymakers. Unlike traditional moots, participants must draft original policy solutions for the theme “Governing Emotional and Medical Risks of AI”.
Why you should register:
● The Dual-Review Advantage: Your work is not just graded; it is refined. Submissions undergo a "Technical Review" by NLIU-CLT and a "Content Review" by industry experts.
● The On-Campus Experience: The top 20 finalists are invited to the NLIU Campus for a curated three-day itinerary. This includes a Round Table Conference on AI Governance with leading practitioners and a Social Night designed for informal networking and camaraderie.
● Mentorship: Finalists receive dedicated guidance from The Mentorship Project to polish their proposals before presenting to the jury.

● Written Submission Deadline: January 1, 2026
● Declaration of Results (Written Round): January 5, 2026
● Oral Presentation Rounds (On-Campus): January 17–18, 2026
Prizes & Rewards:
● Winner: Internship at Nishith Desai Associates + ₹35,000 Cash Prize + Trophy.
● Runners-Up: Cash prizes of ₹25,000 (1st Runner-up) and ₹10,000 (2nd Runner-up).
● Best Speaker & Written Submission: Internship at CyberPeace Foundation.
