RGNUL, Punjab Conducts Mediation Training Programme In Collaboration With MCPC, Supreme Court Of India

The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab in collaboration with the Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee (MCPC) of the Supreme Court of India is organizing a 40 Hour Mediation Training Programme from January 27 to January 31,2026. The programme will have daily sessions from 9:30AM to 6:00 PM. The Training Programme is being organised in view of the enactment of the Mediation Act 2023 and in recognition that Law Universities play a critical role in developing future mediation professionals. The Programme is designed to enhance faculty competence and ensure academic alignment with National Mediation standards and MCPC's Vision.
Participants will be trained in theory, communication techniques and experimential learning through structured simulations and role plays. The programme will be conducted by two distinguished senior trainers. The Training Programme is structured to equip faculty members with conceptual clarity, practical mediation skills and effective pedagogical methods.
Smt. S. Susheela, designated senior advocate, High court of Karnataka with 39 years of experience will serve as a resource person. She is an internationally trained mediator. She is a Master Trainer associated with the Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee of the Supreme Court of India along with Mr. A. J. Jawad, Registrar, International Arbitration Mediation Centre, Hyderabad (IAMCH), who is a mediator-trainer associated with the Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee of the Supreme Court of India.
The programme reflects RGNUL, Punjab's continued commitment to Alternative Dispute Resolution within legal education.
