The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana, followed by the rendition of the Kulgeet. Vice-Chancellor Senior Professor (Dr.) Usha Tandon welcomed the dignitaries and addressed the gathering. Reflecting on the orientation programme, she said it had introduced students to the academic and cultural life of RPNLUP. She urged the new entrants to pursue knowledge with discipline and perseverance, observing that growth is a gradual process built on consistent hard work.

Addressing the students, Justice Vinod Diwakar encouraged them to dream beyond habitual patterns, think bigger, and step out of their comfort zones. He highlighted the importance of communication skills, punctuality, and dignity in the legal profession, reminding students to "learn the grammar of respect before the grammar of argument." He also emphasised the role of professors in inspiring ethical values and described respect for time as an essential attribute of professional integrity.

Justice Manish Kumar spoke about the importance of embracing failures as opportunities for learning rather than viewing them as setbacks. He encouraged students to remain optimistic and described lifelong learning as an essential quality of a lawyer. Stressing the significance of teachers, he observed that a guru helps dispel the darkness within and in the world.

Chief Guest Justice Alok Mathur described law college as one of the best phases of life and encouraged students to value the learning process. He said the beauty of law lies in its connection with real-life situations and called it a continuous process of discovery. He advised students to master facts, remain attentive, and make the most of internship opportunities, urging them to treat internships as formative experiences. He further remarked that true expertise lies not merely in knowing the law but in finding it, and expressed hope that the students would one day occupy positions of responsibility.

During the session, the University also released the latest issue of Cognizant, its newsletter. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. Sonika, Co-convener of the Programme, following which the National Song, National Anthem, and a group photograph marked the conclusion of the event.

The Valedictory Session concluded the induction programme for the 2026-31 batch, with students being encouraged to begin their legal education with discipline, optimism, perseverance, respect, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
