Hnlu Raipur: National Seminar On Rights Of Women To Sexual Health And Choices: A Jurisprudential Conundrum

Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur is organizing a One Day National Seminar on “Rights of Women to Sexual Health and Choices: A Jurisprudential Conundrum”, in collaboration with National Commission for Women, Delhi on 25th March 2023. The Seminar is being organized with the objective to highlight the various issues and challenges related to protection of women’s right to sexual health and well-being.
The One Day National Seminar will see a host of distinguished dignitaries attending the Inaugural and Valedictory Function and participation from academicians, legal and medical professionals and research scholars across the country. The Chief Guest for the Inaugural Function is Smt. Rekha Sharma, Chairperson, National Commission for Women, Government of India, Delhi and Dr. Nitin Nagarkar, Director, AIIMS, Raipur will be the Guest of Honour.
The Seminar will provide a platform to the legal and medical professionals and research scholar to discuss and deliberate upon the significant issues relating to women’s sexual health and well-being.
76 research papers were selected from 250 submissions for the deliberations on significant topics such as maternal and reproductive health; rights of unborn; Privacy Rights of Women; Child Marriage; Marital Rape; Rights of LGBT Community; and Assisted Reproductive Technology etc.
The Chief Guest for the Valedictory Function is Prof.(Dr.) Baldev Bhai Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Kushabhau Thakre Journalism and Mass Communication University, Raipur and Shri S.C.Dwivedi, IG, CID, Chhattisgarh Police will be the Guest of Honour.
