Union public Service Commission has invited applications from the eligible candidates for the post of Legal Officer (Grade-I) at Ministry of External Affairs.

Age Limit: 50 years

Pay Scale:Pre-revised - Pay Band- 3, Rs.15600-39100/- plus Grade Pay of Rs. 7600/- As per 7th CPC Level 12 in the Pay Matrix. (Total emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs.60,300/-p.m. approximately).

Educational Qualification

1. Master degree in Law with specialization in the field of International Law and/or International Relations or International Organizations from a recognized University.


2. Candidates having specialization in International Law in M. Phil or Ph. D level but not at Masters level will also be eligible.

Experience:10 years’experience, after obtaining minimum educational qualification in Legal Affairs, namely Legal Practitioner, in Legal service of the Government, teaching or conducting or guiding research in International Law or in the Law of International Organizations.
