    Advocate GBS Dhillon has won the election for the post of President of Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association for the second time, as per results declared on Sunday.Dhillon won the election for the presidential post by a margin of 548 Votes, securing 1501 votes out of 3052 total votes which were cast, defeating his nearest contender Santokhwinder Singh Grewal, who secured 953 Votes....

    Advocate GBS Dhillon has won the election for the post of President of Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association for the second time, as per results declared on Sunday.

    Dhillon won the election for the presidential post by a margin of 548 Votes, securing 1501 votes out of 3052 total votes which were cast, defeating his nearest contender Santokhwinder Singh Grewal, who secured 953 Votes.

    The other contenders for the post of the President of the Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association were Surjit Singh Swaich and Chouhan Satvinder Singh Sisodia, who secured 496 and 28 votes, respectively.

    Advocate Jasmeet Singh Bhatia has been elected as the Secretary of the Bar Association. Bhatia secured 1498 votes and defeated Swaran Singh Tiwana by a margin of 163 Votes. For the post of Joint Secretary, Nimarta Kaur secured 1384 votes, defeating Parveen Dahiya and Reena Verma who secured 1361 and 180 Votes, respectively.

    Advocate Baljeet Beniwal, who secured 1579 votes, has been elected as the new Treasurer of the Bar Association. Beniwal defeated Sunny Namdev and Sandeep Saini who secured 1156 and 448 votes, respectively.

    The results for the post of the Vice President of the Association are currently under challenge before a disputes resolution committee.

    PS: Advocate Dinesh Kumar Jangra was elected as Vice President of the bar association on December 20 after recounting. He secured 1045 votes.
