Advocate Rakesh Kishore Who Attempted To Throw Shoe At Ex-CJI Attacked With Slippers In Delhi Court

Advocate Rakesh Kishore, who had earlier attempted to hurl a shoe at former Chief Justice of India BR Gavai, was on Tuesday targeted by unidentified persons who tried to hit him with slippers inside the Karkardooma Court complex in Delhi.

A video of the incident is circulating widely on social media. The clip shows a group of men attempting to strike Kishore with slippers before others intervene. Kishore is seen fending off the blows while shouting, “Sanatan dharma ki jai ho.”

The Supreme Court Bar Association has filed a petition seeking criminal contempt proceedings against Kishore for his earlier attempt to attack the former CJI. However, the Supreme Court has shown reluctance to entertain the plea, noting that Justice Gavai has already pardoned Kishore for his act of indiscretion.
