Allahabad High Court Issues Guidelines For Physical Hearing From July 14; Virtual Hearing To Continue

The Allahabad High Court is set to resume the Physical Hearing, in both the benches (at Lucknow and Allahabad), from Wednesday 14th July. In this regard, the Court has finalized and released the Guidelines. However, virtual mode of hearing too, shall continue to take place.The #AllahabadHighCourt has issued the guidelines for Physical Hearing (to begin from July 14).As of now, it has been decided that Virtual hearing too shall continue to take place. pic.twitter.com/KZHkblzgNl— Live Law (@LiveLawIndia) July 10, 2021The following guidelines have been issued by the Court:-During the course of physical hearing, the Advocates would adhere to the COVID protocol and accordingly, will wear face mask/cover and keep social and physical distancing.Only those advocates would enter into the High Court premises whose cases are listed and for that, they will show the listing of the case on mobile or by other modes.The Advocates would be permitted to enter into the premises into the High Court who have been vaccinated and for that, they will keep the certificate with them to be shown at the time of entry into the premises without any protest, otherwise, the committee may withdraw the physical hearing arrangement.During the physical hearing, the Advocates would be permitted to opt for the virtual hearing with advance information to the registry thus, e-mode would also be in operation till further orders.The Advocates would appear in the courtroom in which their cases are listed so as to avoid overcrowding in the courtrooms, rather, at a time, not more than Ten advocates remain in the courtroom.The robes prescribe for the Advocates shall remain suspended.The Advocates will enter into the High Court through the gate separately notified for Allahabad and Lucknow campusConsumption of 'Pan', 'Gutka' and Tobacco, inside the High Court premises shall be prohibited.Spitting in the High Court premises shall be prohibited and will attract punishment.In case 50 or more COVID positive cases are detected for consecutive 3 days, then the physical hearing of the cases would get suspended automatically till further orders.In the first phase, the Advocates' chamber would not be opened, however, if the system of physical hearing on the guidelines framed by the High Court remain successful, the decision about the opening of the chambers would be taken.
