To overcome the delay in disposal of cases due to slow service/ delivery of summons and processes though traditional manual methods, the Allahabad High Court has launched the "National Service and Tracking of Electronic Process Services".

The NSTEP service will be available across the State, both on web and via mobile application.

The service was launched at a virtual ceremony held today, in the august presence of Chief Justice Govind Mathur, Justice SP Kesarwani, Chairman of Computerization Committee and other member Judges of the Computerization Committee including Justices Yashwant Varma, Vivek Chaudhary, Saumitra Dayal Singh, Jayant Banerji and Chandra Dhari Singh.

NSTEP is a centralized summons and process service, designed to streamline the processes electronically. It will enable transparent tracking of service of notices and summons in real-time to the Court.

    How will NSTEP work?

The Case Information System (CIS) have been installed in District Courts. This will provide the facility to generate electronic process in PDF format

Further, District NSTEP Administrators (System Officer/ Assistant) have been appointed who shall facilitate the creation of user account of Process administrators (Nazir/ Ass. nazir) and Process Server (Bailiff).

Once the electronic process are generated, the Process Administrator (Nazir/ Ass. Nazir) of the respective Court will assign the delivery of process to Bailiffs/ Process Server.

NSTEP web application enables allocation of published processes to bailiffs if service is to be effected within their jurisdiction.

It also facilitates allocation of published processes to respective court establishments inter-district or inter-state.

"Today marks a very significant day in the District Judiciary of the State. Today we launch, under the guidance of our Chief Justice, an application which will finally replace the archive, opaque non-transparent system which has been followed for generations for service," Justice Varma said on the occasion.

    E-Court Fees Payment

The High Court also launched an online Court Fees payment system for all the District Courts across the state.

This will enable payment of Court fees through Online payment on ePay Portal- https://pay.ecourts.gov.in

Payment may also be made via Stock holding portal – https://www.shcilestamp.com

The system has been launched to overcome the problems faced by Lawyers/ litigants in purchase of physical Court fees in Courts.

This will prevent delay in deposit court fees and it will further ease record maintenance for the Court staff.

The newly launched portal allows payment of Court fees for both pending and new cases. Such payment may be made through Net-banking, Debit Cards and UPI mode.
