    In view of the recent surge in Covid-19 cases, the Allahabad High Court has decided to stop physical functioning with immediate effect and to resort to virtual hearing from today, i.e. April 12, 2021.

    Initially, only 25 Courts will be made functional for hearing through virtual mode. However, this number may be increased or decreased, as per existing work-load.

    The Committee for the purpose of taking Preventive & Remedial Measures and for Combating the impending threat of Covid-19 has notified the following modalities for virtual hearings:

    Entry

    Advocates, Litigants-in-Person and Clerks to the Advocates will not be permitted to enter in the High Court.

    Filing

    Filing of Cases / Petitions / Applications / Documents will be done both through E-mode and physical form.

    Front Office / Counters will be established outside the premises of the High Court enabling the Advocates to file their Cases / Petitions / Applications / Documents in physical form.

    Filing time will be up to 04:00 pm

    A 24 X 7 Help-Line will be made operational by the High Court for assisting the Advocates in each and every matter regarding filing, listing and other information related to their Case.

    E-connectivity

    BSNL will ensure that the speed related issue of internet is resolved immediately so that no obstruction is caused in virtual hearing of 25 Courts due to slow band-width and connectivity problems.
