Bihar State Legal Services Authority Organizes Training Program For District Legal Services Secretaries

Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh, JAD-1 cum Executive Chairman, BSLSA, addressed all the Secretaries during the training session, motivating them to work with full enthusiasm and dedication. He emphasized the satisfaction that comes from serving society through Legal Service Institutions.

Justice Gunnu Anupama Chakravarthy, Judge Patna High Court, shared her experiences with the Legal Services Authority and encouraged all the Secretaries present at the training session.

The training program covered various topics related to the functions of Legal Services Authorities. Resource persons, including Sh. Om Prakash Srivastava, Former Member Secretary, BSLSA, and former State Information Commissioner, as well as officials from Bihar State Aids Control Society, officials from Controller General of Accounts, Bihar office, and representatives from NGOs, imparted knowledge on the following topics:

1) Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987,

2) BSLSA Rules 1996,

3) BSLSA Regulations, 1998,

4) Right To Information Act,

5) Various Schemes of NALSA,

6) Accounts and PFMS,

7) Role of Legal Services under Child related Laws,

8) HIV/AIDS (Protection & Control) Act, 2017,

9) Under Trial Review Committee Campaign 2023, and

10) National Lok Adalat scheduled to be held on 09.12.2023.

The training session concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants, enhancing their understanding of the crucial aspects of legal services and their roles in the legal framework.
