    The Centre has appointed Advocates Nidumolu Mala and S. Sounthar as Additional Judges of the Madras High Court, for a period of two years. The notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice today reads thus: "In exercise of the power conferred by clause (l) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint (i) Ms. Nidumolu Mala, and (ii) Shri S....

    The Centre has appointed Advocates Nidumolu Mala and S. Sounthar as Additional Judges of the Madras High Court, for a period of two years. 

    The notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice today reads thus: 
    "In exercise of the power conferred by clause (l) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint (i) Ms. Nidumolu Mala, and (ii) Shri S. Sounthar, to be Additional Judges of the Madras High Court, for a period of two years, with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices."
    The recommendation to elevate them was made by the Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on 16th February, 2022.
