Centre Appoints Ten Additional Judges Of Punjab & Haryana High Court As Permanent Judges

The Centre has notified the appointment of 10 additional judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court as permanent judges. 

The Judges who have been made permanent vide a notification issued by the Law Ministry are as follows, 

1. Justice Suvir Sehgal

2. Justice Alka Sarin

3. Justice Jasgurpreet Singh Puri

4. Justice Ashok Kumar Verma

5. Justice Sant Parkash

6. Justice Meenakshi I. Mehta

7. Justice Karamjit Singh

8. Justice Vivek Puri

9. Justice Archana Puri

10. Justice Rajesh Bhardwaj

The Supreme Court collegium had recommended the same at a meeting held on October 7. The Rajasthan High Court is functioning with 45 judges short of its sanctioned strength of 85 judges.
