The Ministry of Law and Justice (Department of Justice) has notified the appointment of the following as Additional Judges of the Bombay High Court.
1) Amit Balachandra Borkar
2) Shrikant Dattaray Kulkarni
This takes the total strength of High Court judges to 72, which is still 22 short of the sanctioned strength of 94. Last year, ten new judges were appointed to the Bombay High Court, with six appointed in December and in January Madhav Jamdar was appointed to the bench.
