    The detailed schedule and exam pattern for CLAT 2020 has been released by the Executive Committee of the Consortium of NLUs, after a meeting held on December 11.

    Schedule

    The exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 10.

    Applications for the exam will open from January 1, 2020 and the last date for submission of applications will be March 31, 2020.

    Answer keys will be uploaded on the website of the NLU Consortium on May 11, 2020 and any objections whatsoever to the answer keys will be entertained between May 12 and May 15, 2020. Thereafter, the final answer key will be released on May 18, 2020.

    Final results for CLAT 2020 will be declared on May 24, 2020.

    Syllabus & Exam Pattern

    There shall be 150 objective type questions in the UG exam and there shall be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

    The exam will test each student on their English, Current affairs/General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Techniques.

    The exam paper will be prepared keeping in mind the 12th standard level of students appearing for CLAT 2020. Further, the quantitative analysis section will be based on 10th standard mathematics content.

    A general guide to question format has been approved to indicate the comprehension based Test.

    Note: The Consortium of NLUs website shall provide the necessary guidelines, module-wise model question paper and analysis of question paper for the exam. However, only those candidates who enroll for CLAT 2020 shall be permitted to access those details.

    LL.M. Admission Test

    There will be 100 objective type questions and there shall be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

    Candidates who secure 40% (35% in case of SC, ST & PWD) marks in the objective type test will be qualified for evaluation of descriptive answers.
