In welcome initiative, and as a mark of respect to the Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th Birth Anniversary and in the interest of the institution and public at large, Full Court of Rajasthan High Court passed a resolution to the ban single-use plastic/thermocol - bottles, carry bags, cups, glasses, dishes, spoons, forks, bowl containers, plates, bottles, straws, sachets and other plastic products in any manner in the premises of High Court and High Court Guest House both at Jodhpur and Jaipur. This ban will be observed not only in High Court Premises but also across all the premises of Subordinate Courts as well as Canteens/Restaurants operating inside the premises of all the Courts of the State. This ban will also be observed strictly during official functions, conferences or any other occasions.

To set an example for all by first applying this rule onto self Rajasthan High Court issued a Circular on 28.09.2019 observing that the use of plastic products is very dangerous and harmful for human life as well as devastating for the environment. Despite this, the use of plastic products is rapidly increasing in day to day life totally ignoring its hazardous impacts.

Citing the above Resolution of Full Court of Rajasthan High Court not to use the plastic products, a list of banned plastic products has been enclosed with the Circular and all concerned have been enjoined upon to follow and ensure strict compliance accordingly.
