    Metropolitan Magistrate Kamran Khan of the Dwarka District Court, South West District, New Delhi has passed away due to covid on Tuesday morning.

    MM Kamran Khan dealt with the cases pertaining to the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956, Delhi Municipal Corporation Act, 1957 and Delhi Development Act, 1957 and presided over the jurisdiction of Police Stations including Palam Village, Traffic Circle of Mayapuri and Palam Airport.

    Delhi recorded as many as 23,686 fresh coronavirus cases on Monday. As many as 240 fatalities have been recorded in the last 24 hours, according to the latest bulletin issued by the Delhi health department.

    Recently, another Delhi Family Court judge Kovai Venugopal, South East District succumbed to covid 19 on April 19.

    In view of the rising covid 19 cases in the national capital, the Delhi Government had extended its lockdown by another week which will continue till May 3 in order to curb the spread of the covid 19.

    Moreover, pursuant to a request received from the Delhi High Court, the Delhi Government has decided to use 100 rooms of Ashoka Hotel, New Delhi for setting up of COVID Health facility for the use of Justices, other judicial officers of Delhi High Court, and their families.
