    The Delhi High Court has made e-filing compulsory for Central Government, State Government, Local Bodies, PSUs etc in respect of all the cases from January 17, even after resumption of physical filing.

    The circular issued by the Registrar General in this regard reads thus:

    "In view of Covid-19, presently all the cases in this Court are being filed through E-filing Module only. However, it is hereby circulated for information of all concerned that Hon'ble the Chief Justice on the recommendation of the Hon'ble IT Committee, has been pleased to make the E-filing compulsory in Delhi High Court from 17th January 2022 for the Central Government, State Government, Local Government / Bodies all Instrumentalities of the State, all PSUs, In respect of all cases/petitions, appeals and revisions against the judgment/order of the subordinate courts even after the physical filing is resumed in this Court."

    The circular adds that the directions for E-Filing, as already published on the website of the High Court, will be followed in this regard.

    Recently, the e-Committee, Supreme Court of India, had directed that all filing of fresh cases/petitions/pleadings and documents by the Government have to be made/filed mandatory through eFiling System.
