    Former Chief Justice Of Delhi High Court Justice Rajendra Nath Aggarwal passed away yesterday at the age of 95.     Former Chief Justice Of Delhi High Court Justice Rajendra Nath Aggarwal passed away yesterday at the age of 95. In the year 1997, he was appointed as Delhi's first Lokayukt.

    He did Matriculation privately from the Punjab University, Lahore ; Govt. College, Lahore ; Law College , Lahore and Simla and then enrolled as an Advocate of the East Punjab High Court at Simla in 1951.

    He practised at Simla and Chandigarh and did civil and criminal work while at Bar and later on, he was appointed as Distt. & Sessions Judge from the Bar in September, 1963.

    He also worked as Addl. Distt. & Sessions Judge at Gurdaspur, Amritsar and at Delhi and was allocated to Himachal Pradesh consequent upon the Reorganisation of Punjab and he worked as Distt. & Sessions Judge, Mahasu, Kinnaur, Simla, Bilaspur, Sirmour.

    He was appointed substantively to the Delhi Higher Judicial Service at its initial constitution w.e.f. May 17, 1971, and worked as Registrar, Delhi High Court from in the year 1971 and thereafter, as Distt. & Sessions Judge, Delhi.

    He was appointed as an Additional Judge of Delhi High Court for a period of two years from March 7, 1972 and later on he was appointed Judge of Delhi High Court w.e.f. July 7, 1977.

    Further, he was appointed as the Chief Justice of Delhi High Court w.e.f. August 16, 1987 & Retired on August 21, 1987 (Just for 5 days).
