    According to an official circular issued on Thursday, the Gujarat High Court and the subordinate courts will resume physical hearing soon in light of the decline in the number of Covid-19 cases in the State. 

    While the High Court is set to resume physical hearing from 21 February, the Courts in about 200 districts have been permitted to switch from virtual hearing from 14 February, subject to standard operating procedure.  

    However, all the District Courts will commence regular physical hearings from 21 February.

    The circular reads: 

    "Considering the current statistics of cases of Covid-19 in the State of Gujarat, the Hon'ble Chief Justice, in consultation with the Monitoring Committees for High Court and District Judiciary in the State, has been pleased to pass the following directions with respect to the commencement of physical hearing in the Hon'ble High Court of Gujarat & District Judiciary of the State."
