Union Law Minister, Kiren Rijiju has said that he has never made any statement regarding the establishment of Allahabad High Court's bench at Agra.This statement by Union Law Minister has come in the backdrop of various media reports claiming that the Law Minister had made a statement regarding the creation of Bench of Allahabad High Court at Agra and that the demand was under active consideration.Yesterday, the Allahabad High Court Bar Association Elders' Committee issued a resolution/public statement calling the alleged Statement of Union Law Minister, Kiren Rijiju regarding the creation of Bench of Allahabad High Court at Agra as 'Childish' and 'Politically motivated'.Condemning this resolution passed by the Allahabad High Court Bar Association Elders' Committee, Union Law Minister said that he never made any statement regarding the establishment of HC's bench at Agra and when a representation was submitted to him at Agra, he only said that Govt will look into the memorandum.It may be noted that when a report in this regard [Allahabad High Court Bar Association Elders' Committee resolution] was published by Live Law, Union Law Minister Kiren Rijuju, by referring to Live Law's report, issued the following statement on Twitter:"I strongly condemn the statement of Allahabad High Court Bar Association Elders' Committee. This statement was issued by the UP Minister in response to a question on Union Law Minister Kiren Rijuji's alleged statement that a bench would be set up in Agra. "There is no such plan and no preparation in the future," Siddharth Nath said.
