Kerala High Court Invites Senior Designation Applications From Advocates Practicing In Kottayam Courts

    The High Court of Kerala has invited applications for senior designation from advocates practicing in the courts of Kottayam district.

    The present notice is issued after receiving a representation from the Kottayam Bar Association President that the earlier notice dated March 10 was not effectively communicated in the bar associations in the district.

    After considering the grievance made out as well as a report from the District Judge, Kottayam, the Chief Justice has granted a further opportunity to the advocates in Kottayam as a curative measure.

    "Having regard to the grievance and upon considering the report of the District Judge Kottayam, the Hon'ble the Chief Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred under Rule 18 of the High Court of Kerala (Designation of Senior Advocates) Rules, 2026, has granted a further opportunity to eligible advocates practicing in the courts in Kottayam District to submit applications for designation as Senior Advocates as a curative measure," the notice states.

    Eligible advocates practicing in the courts in Kottayam are invited to submit their applications addressed to the Registrar General and the same should reach the High Court by 4:30 p.m. on August 5.
