Pursuant to a meeting of the Committee for Redressal of Grievances of the High Court on Tuesday afternoon, a notice has been issued by the Kerala High Court Advocates' Association that it has been decided to resume physical hearings, filing and posting of cases on any day between 8th and 15th November.

It was also clarified that if anybody demands a virtual hearing on account of any personal reasons, that will be considered as well. However, the details in this regard are yet to be worked out.

Considering the ongoing pandemic, the High Court Administration has insisted on both doses of vaccination for all persons entering the High Court.

Vaccination will be applicable not only for the Advocates but also for everyone entering the High Court Complex. The KHCAA will be issuing a pass to all members certifying their vaccination status. However, it was emphasised that such a certificate is not required f the member has a certificate obtained from the CoWIN portal.

The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Bar to deliberate on the representations received from the KHCAA to restart the physical functioning of the Courts.

It was convened at 1:45 pm today in the Committee Room of the High Court. The Grievance Committee was headed by Justices A Muhammed Mustaque, Anil K Narendran and Anu Sivaraman.

The Association had sought the resumption of physical hearing in a representation filed last week in which it had specifically requested to restore physical hearing from 1st November 2021 onwards.

Thereafter, members of the Association organised a protest near the premises of its office yesterday seeking expeditious action on their representation to resume physical hearing and filing.

Accordingly, the Registrar General had written to the Secretary of the Association earlier today to make it convenient to attend the same in order to make the deliberations fruitful.
