The Kerala State Mediation and Conciliation Centre emerged as one of the leading contributors to the nationwide “Mediation for the Nation 2.0” campaign, organised by the Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee of the Supreme Court of India from 2 January 2026 to 15 June 2026, by facilitating the settlement of 12,331 cases through mediation. The campaign, conducted under the aegis of 25 High Courts across 28 States and 8 Union Territories, resulted in the amicable resolution of more than one lakh cases nationwide, with Kerala making a significant contribution to this remarkable achievement.

During the campaign, Kerala successfully settled 12,389 cases out of 27,493 cases mediated, achieving a success rate of 44%. The State's performance included the resolution of several pending disputes in 13 categories, namely Matrimonial Dispute Cases, Accident Claim cases, Cheque Bounce Cases, Criminal Compoundable cases, Land Acquisition Cases, Partition Case, Eviction Cases, Commercial Disputes, Service Matters, Labour Act Cases, Contract Cases, Consumer Disputes and other suitable civil Cases.

The settlement of these long standing disputes highlights the transformative role of mediation in delivering effective, timely, and enduring justice. It demonstrates the growing confidence in mediation as an efficient alternative dispute resolution mechanism capable of bringing closure to even the most complex and aged cases.

The success of the campaign was the result of the collective efforts by the High Court Mediation Centre, District and Sub Mediation Centres, Referral Judges, Mediators, lawyers, supporting staff, and all other stakeholders associated with the initiative. Their unwavering support, cooperation, dedication, and sustained efforts were instrumental in making Kerala's participation in the campaign a remarkable success and reinforcing the effectiveness of mediation in strengthening access to justice.

Kerala State Mediation and Concilliation Centre developed “Mediation Management System' in the High Court. The primary objective of this module is to digitize and automate the entire mediation process from the point of court referral to the final submission of the

mediation report. The proposed system aims to eliminate manual paperwork, reduce administrative delay, and improve transparency and accountability in mediation management. It will ensure a seamless and secure flow of information among court sections, mediation centre officials, and mediators. The system will also enable real time access to relevant case files, We Solv VC Solution for Mediation, allocation of mediators, and submission of mediation report ensuring confidentiality, thereby significantly improving operational efficiency.

A similar module is under development stage for management of mediations in the District Judiciary.
