"Some Mischief In Notice Issuance": Buxar District Judge Withdraws Notice Directing Judicial Officers To Clean Temple

The District Judge of the Buxar Court in Bihar has now withdrawn a notice which directed all the Judicial Officers and the Court staff of Buxar Court in Bihar to clean the temples on January 9, 2022.It may be noted that while directing all presiding officers of the court along with their respective court's staff to clean temples situated beside the Circuit house, the notice dated January 6, 2022, referred to a direction issued by the Chief Justice of Patna High Court in this regard.Read more about the earlier notice here: Bihar Judicial Officers, Court Staff Clean Temple As Per Order Of Buxar District And Sessions JudgeHowever, the subsequent Notice issued by the District Judge yesterday states the notice in question (dated 06/01/2022) was not issued under the directions/instructions of the Buxar District Judge and that there appears to be some mischief in the issuance of the aforesaid notice. The entire (subsequent) notice dated January 10, 2022, read thus:"The notice dated 06/01/2022 issued by the In Charge Officer (admn) wherein all the Judicial Officers and staff of Civil Court, Buxar Judgeship, were directed to remain present for cleaning temples, is withdrawn forthwith. No such directions were given by Hon'ble The Chief Justice of The High Court of Judicature at Patna. There appears to be some mischief in the issuance of the aforesaid notice. The said notice was also not issued under the directions/instructions of the undersigned. The matter is being inquired into."The earlier notice (now withdrawn) stated that in the light of the direction of Hon'ble the Chief Justice, Patna High Court, Patna, all presiding officers of Courts alongwith their respective Court's staff shall be cleaning Temples in the morning on 9.1.2022, situated beside Circuit house if they are not engaged in special sitting of their respective court...However, as per one anonymous source, the Chief Justice had merely asked the office of the District & Sessions judge to constitute a committee comprising of judicial officers to look into the maintenance of the temples during his visit to Buxar last month.As reported by a local news website, during his visit to Buxar, the Chief Justice had requested the District and Sessions Judge to ensure the cleanliness of the Circuit House and the adjoining areas.Another news website, nxtnews24 reported that the Chief Justice of the High Court, during his visit to Buxar, had frowned upon the state of cleanliness in Buxar's and had instructed the District Legal Services Authority to ensure the cleanliness of the Circuit house, guest house, and other adjoining areas.On the other hand, as per Buxar Top News, on January 9, 2022 (Sunday), under the supervision of District and Sessions Judge, Anjani Kumar Singh, all the judicial officers, and court staff cleaned Temples and adjoining areas for about four hours and took a pledge that they would regularly take such initiatives in the future.
