The Mumbai police have filed an FIR against Sushant Singh Rajput's sisters Priyanka Singh and Meetu Singh, and a doctor from Ram Manohar Lohia hospital in Delhi based on a complaint filed by actor Rhea Chakraborty, reported the PTI.

The FIR registered by Bandra Police alleges that the accused persons "hatched a conspiracy and obtained false prescription on the letterhead of a government hospital for a banned medicine which is annexed under the NDPS Act and administered the same without supervising doses and quantity which may result in a chronic anxiety attack and which resulted in the commission of suicide."

On Monday, actress Rhea - who is accused of abetting Rajput's suicide - filed a complaint before the Mumbai police accusing Priyanka Singh and Dr. Tarun Kumar from Delhi of forgery and prescribing fake medicines for anxiety to Rajput.

She alleged that Rajput was suffering from anxiety and bipolar disorder, and that his sister asked him to take false medicines based on a prescription fabricated by the doctor in Delhi.

"Prima facie, the prescription appeared to be fabricated. The medicines prescribed by the doctor are prohibited from being prescribed electronically without consultation with the patient," Rhea's complaint alleged.

Though she claimed to have advised Rajput to not take those medicines, the complaint stated that "He (Rajput), however, disagreed with me and insisted that he would only take the medicine his sister was prescribing".

"Rajput died just a few days after he obtained the prescription, wherein he was unlawfully prescribed psychotropic substances at the behest of his sister Priyanka and the doctor Tarun Kumar," she alleged.

As per the order passed by the Supreme Court on August 19, any FIR registered by the Mumbai police in relation to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput has to be transferred to the CBI, which is investigating into the unnatural death of Rajput on June 14.

"As per the complaint of Rhea Chakraborty, a case has been registered at Bandra Police Station, Mumbai under sections 420, 464, 465, 466, 468, 474, 306, 120B, 34 IPC and r/w Sec 8(c), 21, 22(A), 29 of NDPS Act. In line with orders of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, the case is duly transferred to CBI for further investigation," the Mumbai Police spokesperson said.
