Nani Palkhivala Arbitration Centre Partners With JustAct For Tech-Enabled Arbitration And ODR

The Nani Palkhivala Arbitration Centre (NPAC) has entered into a strategic partnership with JustAct, an Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform, to launch “NPAC — powered by JustAct.” NPAC, a not-for-profit arbitration institution incorporated in 2005 and designated under Section 11(b) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 by the Madras High Court, has been a significant player in promoting institutional arbitration in India. Its panel includes leading members of the legal fraternity, along with civil servants and domain experts across sectors. Under this partnership, JustAct will serve as NPAC's ADR & ODR Operations and Services Partner, managing the administrative and operational aspects of arbitration and mediation proceedings. This includes the management of hearings (hybrid, physical, and online), case document management, transcription services, and support for NPAC's global outreach. Founded in 2019, JustAct provides a technology platform built for dispute resolution, offering AI-enabled transcription, electronic evidence management, video conferencing with AES-256 encryption, e-bundling of documents, case discovery tools, and auditable workflow systems. The platform supports digital, hybrid, and in-person proceedings with compliance-grade security protocols, including two-factor authentication and data privacy safeguards. This partnership advances technology-enabled arbitration and ODR mechanisms, with the objective of reducing court pendency and strengthening institutional arbitration in India. By combining NPAC's institutional expertise with JustAct's digital capabilities, the collaboration is expected to enhance procedural efficiency and improve access to justice, while positioning India as a competitive hub for both domestic and international dispute resolution. Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Arvind P.
