    The Delhi High Court on Tuesday listed for final hearing on July 30 the plea filed by BJP MP Subramanian Swamy challenging the trial court order regarding summoning of various documents and witnesses in National Herald case against Congress president Sonia Gandhi, her son Rahul and others.

    A single judge bench comprising of Justice Suresh Kumar Kait posted the matter for final hearing on July 30 after enquiring if all the pleadings in the matter were completed.



    The trial court had vide order dated February 11 said that Swamy's application under sec. 244 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) to lead evidence would be considered after his examination in the case was over.

    Aggrieved by the trial court's order, the BJP leader had moved the High Court. While issuing notice in the plea in February this year, the Court also stayed the trial court proceedings till further orders.

    Swamy had sought summoning of certain witnesses, including the Secretary General (registry officer) of the Supreme Court, a deputy land and development officer, and a deputy commissioner of Income Tax.
