    The National Law University, Delhi has appointed Prof. (Dr.) Anupama Goel, Professor of Law, as the new Registrar of the University.

    In a notification issued by the Deputy Registrar on Monday, it is intimated that the University's Vice-Chancellor has relieved Prof. (Dr.) GS Bajpai from the additional duties of the Registrar with immediate effect.

    The VC has entrusted the duties of the Registrar to Prof. (Dr.) Anupama Goel, in addition to her present duties with effect from 11th January, 2021, till further orders.

    "In exercise of powers under statute 6(3) of the National Law University Delhi, I am pleased to entrust the duties of the Registrar with Prof. Anupama Goel, Professor of Law, in addition to her present duties with effect from 11 January 2021 till further orders. During the period of holding the charge of the post of Registrar, the administrative, financial and statutory powers delegated to the Registrar, shall be exercised by her," stated an order issued by the VC.

    Dr. Anupama Goel joined NLU Delhi in August 2012 as Associate Professor (Law), and has taught Constitutional Law and International Law to undergraduate students, and Comparative Public Law to postgraduate students.

    She has been a member of Academic Council and Executive Council at the National Law University for the year 2013-2014. She is currently a member of the Postgraduate Council.

    Prior to this, Dr. Goel taught at the Department of Laws, Panjab University, Chandigarh. She was conferred her Doctorate of Philosophy by the Panjab University, Chandigarh in 2003, for her thesis titled "Social Justice and its Implementation with Special Reference to the State of Punjab".
