The Registry of Orissa High Court, on Tuesday, notified that with a view to streamline matters relating to e-filing, whenever a case is e-filed in the High Court of Orissa through e-filing version 3.0, there shall be no requirement of filing hardcopy of the e-filed documents.

Further it clarified, if any dispute arises with regard to any e-filed document or any portion thereof, the concerned advocate or litigant shall physically file the original of the relevant e-filed document.

Notably, the e-filing version 3.0 of the High Court was inaugurated earlier this month by Dr. Justice Dhananjaya Y. Chandrachud, Supreme Court Judge and the Chairperson of the Supreme Court E-Committee.

Pertinent to mention that the Orissa High Court has been a front-runner in digitalising case filing and court-proceedings under the guidance of its incumbent Chief Justice Dr. S. Muralidhar. While speaking on the occasion of inauguration of e-filing version 3.0 and Virtual Witness Deposition Centres (VWDCs), Justice Muralidhar had categorically stated that virtual courts are the future of Odisha Judiciary.
