Punjab And Haryana High Court To Resume Physical Hearing From March 28

The High Court of Punjab and Haryana will resume hearing of cases through physical mode from 28.03.2022.
The Chief Justice of the High Court has ordered the resumption of physical hearing keeping in view of the decline in number of Covid-19 cases in the state of Punjab, Haryana and UT of Chandigarh.
The order states that the hearing of cases shall be only through physical mode. "The request for Video Conferencing (through any mode) will not be entertained in any case," the order states.
The order also states that the "Online Mentioning" portal shall be deactivated. The order has laid out a detailed procedure wrt the mentioning of cases through physical mode.
At the same time all the 'general preventive measures' like wearing of face masks etc has to be followed in the court premises, the order states.
