Functioning at the Jaipur Bench of the HC has been suspended until August 19, 2020 and all the concerned have been recommended to get themselves tested.
Justice Mahanty, 60, is the first Chief Justice of any High Court to test Covid positive.
Last month, the High Court remained closed for about 10 days, after Court staff tested Covid positive.
The Court premises of the principal bench at Jodhpur were first shut on July 9 and July 10, for sanitization of premises and other standard protocol. Later, functioning of the Court was declared suspended until July 15, as the infected person had come in contact with a number of other court staff, and it became necessary to test them as well.
