A private complaint has been filed before a court of Chief Judicial Magistrate in Bihar's Muzaffarpur against Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin for his alleged 'Ablish Santana Dharma, it is like Dengue-Malaria, CORONA’ remarks claiming that the same has 'hurt' the sentiments of Hindus and followers of the Sanatana dharma.

The Complaint has been filed by a lawyer named Sudhir Kumar Ojha stating that Stalin made the said statement for the purpose of spreading enmity in society for political gains and for the purpose of appeasing the people of some other religions.

The Complaint further states that Stalin deliberately made objectionable remarks on Sanatan Dharma at the behest of his father, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin, so that crores of Hindus could be insulted and religious sentiments would be hurt.

"The complainant and the witnesses were heartbroken after hearing and reading the statement and the same has hurt the religious sentiments of the followers of Hindu and Sanatani religion in the entire country. Since the complainant and witnesses are people who believe in Sanatan Dharma, their sentiments were hurt by the accused," the complaint claims.

Hence, the complaint prays for legal action against Udhay Stalin and his father MK Stalin under Sections 500, 504, 295, 295A, 298, 120 (B) of the Indian Penal Code.

As per a report of the Indian Express, Udhayanidhi, the Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs in the Tamil Nadu government, while addressing a press conference in Chennai on Saturday, said: “Few things cannot be opposed, they should be abolished. We can’t oppose dengue, mosquitoes, malaria or coronavirus, we have to eradicate them. In the same way, we have to eradicate Sanatana (Sanatan Dharma), rather than opposing it.
