Special CBI Judge Arvind Kumar has allowed Robert Vadra to make his travel to Spain. Earlier in June, Vadra was also allowed to make a trip abroad on the ground or medical treatment.

Senior Advocate KTS Tulsi, Vadra's counsel in the present money laundering matter, had submitted that Mr Vadra has to go to Spain to attend a trade expo which is scheduled to take place between September 27-30. It was also argued that Mr Vadra has routinely attended such trade fairs in the past.

ED counsels Nitesh Rana and DP Singh had argued against the plea by saying that the actual intention behind Mr Vadra's meet is to meet the co-accused and tamper with the evidence.

Mr Tulsi countered these arguments by submitting that there's no scope of tampering with evidence since the entire case is based on documentary evidence.

Robert Vadra has been enjoying interim protection in multiple money laundering cases on the condition that he cannot leave India without the permission of the court.
