In a historical development in women's representation in the judiciary, an all-women lawyer team is directed by the Advocate General to represent the State Government before the Dharwad Bench of the Karnataka High Court, which will be presided over exclusively by women judges on August 1.

This initiative was taken to celebrate International Women's Day.
