NLS Gangrape: Six persons convicted; Sentence to be pronounced tomorrow

Six persons accused for raping an undergraduate student of National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore has been convicted by a Session’s Court. One accused is absconding and another, a juvenile, is facing trial before the Juvenile Justice Court.

Sessions judge, Krishnamurthy B Sangannavar will pronounce the sentence tomorrow.

The law student was gang raped by the accused eight men on October 13^th last year at Bangalore University's Jnanabharathi campus. The incident led to imposition of curfew on the NLSIU Campus.
