    The Council of Indian Society of Criminology on the recommendation of Search Committee has conferred THE ISC – DR. B.S. HAIKERWAL AND Prof. SUSHIL CHANDRA AWARD, to the Prof. (Dr.) Purvi Pokhariyal, Dean and Director, Institute of Law, Nirma University, Ahmedabad for her significant contribution to Criminology through her high quality of research work on 22nd September, 2016  atthe 39th All India Criminology Conference of Indian Society of Criminology (ISC) on Criminological challenges in the Contemporary Era, organized by National Law University Odisha, Cuttack.

    This award has been conferred to Prof. (Dr.) Purvi Pokhariyal in recognition of her professional contribution in the field of criminology and criminal justice administration. This award is conferred to senior social scientist every year by the Indian Society of Criminology.

    Prof. (Dr.) Purvi Pokhariyal is associated with the Nirma University for the last 9 years and has been handling the affairs of Institute of Law right from its inception. In recognition of the outstanding research acumen and training in various fields along with the significant contribution to Criminology thought her high quality of research work, the Indian Society of Criminology is privileged to confer on her the ISC Dr. B.S. Haikerwal and Prof. Sushil Chandra Award for senior social scientist.

    Institute of Law has been emphasizing more on Continuing Clinical Legal Education having innovative pedagogy and all-round development of the students gives maximum exposure to the practical field through intensive internship. Mooting activity has also been a very prime activity of the Institute.

    Prof. (Dr.) Purvi Pokhariyal, Director, Institute of Law gave the entire credit to the dedicated team of young faculty members and staff and active support from management as a team work.
