  • RGNUL to host one day National Conference

    The Department of Sociology, Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab is organizing a National Conference on “ Indian Society and Emerging Social Issues” An Interdisciplinary Exploration on 23rd April 2016. This National Conference aims at understanding contemporary social issues in Indian society. The conference shall be a shared Dais for Academicians, Researchers, Administrators, Adjudicators and the Students, whereby all the possible perspectives and challenges will be explored in order to provide workable solutions for emerging social problems in Indian society.

    SubThemes

    The National Conference on Indian Society and Emerging Social Issues shall bolster discussions on the following sub themes:

    Cyber crime and social security and Redefining security Sanctity of social institutions in contemporary India: Family and Marriage Gender and Indian society:

    Perspectives and Challenges Environmental degradation and issues related to Sustainability Recent Legislations and Law related to Emerging Social Issues

    Drug Abuse: Facts, repercussions and policy making Digital Divide: Rural-urban dichotomy; inter-regional issues, class issues Stress and Youth, gender, minorities and the allied issues Sexuality; Homosexuality; Sexual minority and allied issues Any other relevant issue related to theme of the conference.

    Submission of the Research Papers/ Articles

    The copy of the Abstract and Research Paper/Article is required to be sent through email at nis16@rgnul.ac.in and also to honeymalik111@gmail.com.

    The Abstract of the paper should not be more than 300‐500 words and the Research Paper/Article 3000‐5000 words; Font‐Times New Roman; Font size‐12; Line spacing‐0.5 for Abstract and 1.5 for the Paper/Article.

    The Authors are suggested to take full care of citation of data/information sources. The authors are advised to provide their full names, address for correspondence, e‐mail id, and contact numbers at the time of abstract and full paper/article submission. A printed copy of the paper/article should be submitted at the registration desk on 23 April 2016.

    Web conference

    The conference will have a web conference session available to the presenters on prior intimation.

    Registration Fee

     The registration fee is as following: · Students‐ Rs. 500/‐ ·

    Delegates – Rs. 800/‐ (Authors as well as co‐authors fall under the same category) . Web Conference Presentations‐Rs. 600/‐ · Additional fee to be charged from persons accompanying delegates‐ 400/‐ · Accommodation charges per day per person‐ Rs. 500/
