The Supreme Court Vacation Bench of Justices Abhay Manohar Sapre and Sanjay Kishan Kaul today read the report of the Medical Board constituted to examine the petitioner,  Sarmishtha Chakraborty, and her 25-week fetus, and asked her counsel, and the counsel for respondents to read it and get fresh instructions from their clients, before it is heard again on Monday, July 3.

The bench read the report, submitted to it in a sealed cover, anxiously for 10 minutes, but did not disclose its contents, in order to protect the privacy of the petitioner.  When the bench came to know that none of the counsel read the report, it asked the registry to make copies of the report and share it only with the counsel and none else.

The bench also requested the counsel to maintain utmost confidentiality of the report till the next hearing of the case on Monday.
