The Supreme Court Collegium on Tuesday recommended that Justice Ramchandra Singh Jhala, Additional Judge of Rajasthan High Court be made permanent.

The Collegium comprising Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra, Justice J. Chelameswar and Justice Ranjan Gogoi had four other names of Additional Judges of the High Court before it as well.

It, however, noted that Justice Jhala was going to retire on 2 July, and hence, took up his case immediately. The proposal pertaining to other Additional Judges, it said, would be taken up "at appropriate stage".
